“The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.”
-PROPHET MUHAMMAD
About Me:
I have completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). I am now working as a software engineer in Samsung Research and Development Institute, Bangladesh (SRBD).
My research interest includes vast areas of Biomedical Engineering:
- Biomedical Signal Processing
- Medical Image Processing
- Brain-Computer Interface(BCI)
- Neural Network and Machine learning
As for my Graduation, I would like to work with Bio signal and image processing and with their applications and I am also interested of learning classification models like Neural Network, Probabilistic graphical model. Currently I am taking an online course related to probabilistic graphical model and its applications. I would like to work in the development of the computer or other electronic devices so that they can successfully interact with their users, taking users physical and mental state in to account. This type of work not only has potential application for the patients suffering spinal cord injury, paralysis and brain-stem stroke but also because of “hands off” control procedure, this work has potential applications in human interaction based smart home technologies. Imagine a smart AC trained in such a way that it turned itself on and off depending on the heart rate and body temperature of the user or a computer turning on the AC or reducing the brightness of the screen depending on the stress level of the user.
I have 3 International research publications accepted by IEEE sponsored international conference all related to BCI, Human performance analysis and Neural Network. I mainly worked with physiological signal processing where I analysed signals(EEG,EOG,ECG and EMG) for the detection of human cognitive states and for observing human performance under office like work environment. For More details please visit my Publications page.
My long-term goal is to be actively involved with research and to build up an academic career in the field of Biomedical Engineering. I want to devote myself in Biomedical research because I believe in the phrase that “Engineering for life”. I want to become a prominent researcher in this field and want develop innovative ideas, devices and services for the betterment of the humankind.
Apart from my academic life, I was actively involved with two non-profit organizations in my undergraduate level. I was general secretary of an electronics club called “KUETRONICS”. I was also performed the job of organizing secretary of a debating club, KDS. Apart from this, I am very good in Sports, always participated in different indoor and outdoor sports event and end up winning quite a few of them.
